The Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Berwyn/Cicero Morton Mustangs to 1 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Friday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Chicago for a Upstate Eight battle on Tuesday, April 8. Riverside-Brookfield will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 9-6 non-league win over Metea Valley (Aurora, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Berwyn/Cicero Morton moves to 4-3 on the season. The Mustangs host Fenwick (Oak Park, IL) to confront the Friars in a non-league battle on Saturday, April 5. The Friars come into the battle with a record of 2-0. Fenwick won 10-3 in their recent league battle against Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL)
