In Friday's non-league test, the James Buchanan Rockets (Mercersburg, PA) softball squad got by the visiting Biglerville Canners (Biglerville, PA), by a count of 3-2.

Next, the Rockets meet the Big Spring Bulldogs (Newville, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Colonial test, on Monday, April 7. James Buchanan will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 6-2 record after their 16-1 non-league win over Delone Catholic (McSherrystown, PA).

The Canners (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Hanover (Hanover, PA). The Nighthawks go into the York-Adams 3 test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Hanover held off Columbia (Columbia, PA), 17-2, in a non-league test.
