Ohio High School Softball - Boardman bounces Columbiana

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Boardman Spartans softball team scored a tight 9-2 win over the Columbiana Clippers.

The Spartans (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH). The Falcons enter the All-American contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Austintown-Fitch nudged Jefferson Area (Jefferson, OH), 16-3, in a non-league contest.

The Clippers now hold a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to West Branch for a non-league contest on Saturday, April 5. Columbiana will face a Warriors squad coming off a 12-4 non-league win over Howland (Warren, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 2-1.
