The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Lakewood Rangers (Lakewood, OH) and the visiting Brookside Cardinals (Sheffield, OH), observed Lakewood's softball team prevail over Brookside by a tally of 16-0.

The Rangers (3-1) will now prepare for their bout against Normandy (Parma, OH). The Invaders go into the Cleveland West bout with a 0-4 record. In their last bout, Normandy was routed by North Olmsted (North Olmsted, OH), 15-6, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Cardinals clash with the Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH) in a Lorain County 8 bout, on Monday, April 7. Brookside will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Monroeville (Monroeville, OH).
