In Friday's non-league test, the Canyon Springs Cougars (Moreno Valley, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the host San Gorgonio Spartans (San Bernardino, CA), by a tally of 15-1.

Next, the Cougars clash with the JW North Huskies (Riverside, CA) in a Sunbelt test, on Tuesday, April 8. Canyon Springs will attempt to advance on its 11-2 season record. The Huskies go into the test with a 10-8 record after their 15-1 league win over Vista del Lago (Moreno Valley, CA).

The Spartans (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Tahquitz (Hemet, CA). The Titans go into the non-league test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Tahquitz prevailed over West Valley (Hemet, CA), 13-3, in a league test.
