In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Coventry Comets softball team scored a tight 4-1 victory over the Rittman Indians.

The Comets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Woodridge (Peninsula, OH). The Bulldogs go into the Metro Athletic Conference match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Woodridge was routed by Streetsboro (Streetsboro, OH), 6-3, in a league match.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Central Christian Comets (Kidron, OH) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 7. Rittman will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Comets go into the match with a 1-0 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Aquinas (Louisville, OH).
