In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Jackson County Central Huskies softball team scored a tight 7-5 win over the Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian Flying Dutchmen.
The Huskies (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Windom (Windom, MN). The Eagles come into the South Central match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Windom nipped Blue Earth (Blue Earth, MN), 16-4, in a league match.
In their next game, the Flying Dutchmen battle the Luverne Cardinals (Luverne, MN) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 7. Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
