The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Jenkins Cavaliers (Jenkins, KY) and the visiting Thomas Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA), observed Jenkins's softball team prevail over Thomas Walker by a tally of 17-2.

The Cavaliers (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against Lee County (Beattyville, KY). The Bobcats go into the non-league bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Lee County was routed by Jackson City (Jackson, KY), 31-20, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Pioneers clash with the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) in a Cumberland bout, on Thursday, April 10. Thomas Walker will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record.
