Louisiana High School Softball - Ouachita Parish topped by Kaplan

Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA), 9-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Kaplan upgrades its record to 26-1 on the year. The Pirates host Assumption (Napoleonville, LA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league game on Monday, April 7. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 22-4. Assumption won 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA)

The Lions now own a 15-13 record. They play next when they travel to Ruston for a 5A District 2 game on Tuesday, April 8. Ouachita Parish will play a Bearcats squad coming off a 7-3 league win over Neville (Monroe, LA). The Bearcats record now stands at 9-14.
