In Friday's league test, the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Lackey Chargers (Indian Head, MD), by a tally of 17-1.

Next, the Patriots clash with the McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD) in a Southern Maryland test, on Monday, April 7. Northern will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Rams go into the test with a 2-4 record after their 22-0 league loss to Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD).

The Chargers (1-5) will now prepare for their test against St. Charles (Waldorf, MD). The go into the Southern Maryland test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, St. Charles was routed by Great Mills (Great Mills, MD), 13-3, in a league test.
