The Leesville Wampus Cats triumphed over the visiting Oberlin Tigers softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Wampus Cats meet the Eunice Bobcats (Eunice, LA) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. Leesville will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 19-4 league loss to Iowa (Iowa, LA).
The Tigers (1-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA). The Hornets enter the 2A District 5 challenge with a 11-12 record. In their last challenge, Grand Lake was routed by DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA), 17-3, in a league challenge.
