St. John Paul II Catholic Lions (Avondale, AZ) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Mountainside Wolves (Wittmann, AZ), 25-6 in a league game.

With the triumph, St. John Paul II Catholic upgrades its record to 2-8 on the year. The Lions travel to Wickenburg (Wickenburg, AZ) to play the Wranglers in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 9. The Wranglers enter the game with a record of 8-9.

The Wolves now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Glendale Prep Academy for a 2A West game on Wednesday, April 9.
