The Newcomb Skyhawks softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Navajo Pine Warriors to 2 in the Skyhawks non-league win on Friday.

The Skyhawks now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hatch Valley for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 5. Newcomb will encounter a Bears team coming off a 10-7 non-league loss to Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM). The Bears record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Navajo Pine moves to 0-7 on the season. The Warriors host Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league battle on Saturday, April 5. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 2-7. Hot Springs won 11-10 in their recent non-league battle against McCurdy (Espanola, NM)
