In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Notre Dame Academy Rebels softball team scored a tight 8-1 win over the Shrewsbury Colonials.
The Rebels (2-0) will now prepare for their match against St. Bernard's Central Catholic (Fitchburg, MA). The Bernardians come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, St. Bernard's Central Catholic nipped Fitchburg (Fitchburg, MA), 10-7, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Colonials confront the Andover Golden Warriors (Andover, MA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, April 5. Shrewsbury will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
