In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Satsuma Gators softball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Smiths Station Panthers.
The Gators (18-13) will now prepare for their match against Pell City (Pell City, AL). The Panthers go into the non-league match with a 18-9 record. In their last match, Pell City was nipped by Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL), 14-3, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Mobile Christian Leopards (Mobile, AL) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 4. Smiths Station will attempt to better on its 5-14 season record. The Leopards go into the match with a 10-9 record after their 19-0 non-league win over Flomaton (Flomaton, AL).
