In Tuesday's non-league test, the host Newton South Lions lacrosse squad scored a good 17-0 victory over the Belmont Marauders.
The Lions now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cambridge Rindge & Latin for a non-league test on Thursday, April 7.
In their next game, the Marauders face the Stoneham Spartans (Stoneham, MA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, April 6. Belmont will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
