Mechanicsburg Wildcats (Mechanicsburg, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Reading Red KNights (Reading, PA), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Susquehanna Township for a Mid-Penn - Keystone challenge on Friday, April 8. Mechanicsburg will battle a HANNA squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, PA). The HANNA record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Reading falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Red knights travel to Central Dauphin East (Harrisburg, PA) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 7. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
