In Wednesday's league game, the visiting Northshore Panthers baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Covington Lions.
The Panthers (13-13) will now prepare for their game against Slidell (Slidell, LA). The Tigers go into the 5A District 6 game with a 10-18 record. In their last game, Slidell was edged by Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA), 7-3, in a league game.
The Lions (12-4) will now prepare for their game against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Skippers go into the 5A District 6 game with a 8-11 record. In their last game, Mandeville tipped Hammond (Hammond, LA), 2-1, in a league game.
