California High School Baseball - Liberty holds off Highland

April 5, 2023: Bakersfield, CA 93306

Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA) and the host Highland Scots (Bakersfield, CA), saw Liberty's baseball squad knock off Highland by a count of 6-2.

Coming up next, the Hawks play the Fowler Redcats (Fowler, CA) in a North Sequoia battle, on Friday, April 14. Liberty will attempt to move on its 13-6 season record. The Redcats enter the battle with a 12-2 record after their 10-2 non-league win over Kingsburg (Kingsburg, CA).

The Scots now possess a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Independence for a South Yosemite Valley battle on Wednesday, April 12. Highland will play a Falcons squad coming off a 8-6 non-league win over Mt. Whitney (Visalia, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 11-5.
