California High School Baseball - Independence gets by Mt. Whitney

Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA) and the host Mt. Whitney Pioneers (Visalia, CA), saw Independence's baseball squad knock off Mt. Whitney by a count of 8-6.

Coming up next, the Falcons play the Highland Scots (Bakersfield, CA) in a South Yosemite - Valley battle, on Wednesday, April 12. Independence will attempt to move on its 11-5 season record. The Scots enter the battle with a 9-7 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to Liberty (Madera, CA).

The Pioneers now possess a 6-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monache for a East Yosemite battle on Tuesday, April 11.
