Arizona High School Baseball - Ironwood Ridge loses to Salpointe Catholic

The Salpointe Catholic Lancers crushed the visiting Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks baseball team by a count of 8-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Lancers now possess a 16-6 record. They take the field next when they host Walden Grove for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 8. Salpointe Catholic will face a Red Wolves team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Sahuarita (Sahuarita, AZ). The Red Wolves record now stands at 10-8.

Next, the Nighthawks face the Catalina Foothills Falcons (Tucson, AZ) in a 5A Southern bout, on Thursday, April 6. Ironwood Ridge will attempt to move on its 7-14 season record. The Falcons enter the bout with a 14-1 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Canyon del Oro (Tucson, AZ).
