In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Tenino Beavers baseball team scored a tight 8-2 victory over the Newport Grizzlies.
The Beavers (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Eatonville (Eatonville, WA). The Cruisers go into the non-league game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Eatonville was overwhelmed by Montesano (Montesano, WA), 12-0, in a league game.
The Grizzlies (2-6) will now prepare for their game against Freeman (Rockford, WA). The Scotties go into the 1A Northeast game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Freeman was overwhelmed by Northwest Christian School (Colbert, WA), 11-3, in a non-league game.
