Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Senators confront the Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 13. Springfield will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record.
The Crusaders now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Centralia for a South Seven challenge on Thursday, April 6. Althoff Catholic will confront a Orphans team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Marion (Marion, IL). The Orphans record now stands at 2-3.
