South Carolina High School Soccer - Mauldin nudges Carolina Academy

Mauldin Mavericks (Mauldin, SC) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Carolina Academy Trojans (Greenville, SC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mavericks confront the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes (Irmo, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 7. Mauldin will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Silver Foxes enter the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 7-2 non-league win over Saluda (Saluda, SC).
The Trojans now possess a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they host Broome for a AAA Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Carolina Academy will confront a Centurions team coming off a 3-2 league win over Blue Ridge (Greer, SC). The Centurions record now stands at 3-6.
