Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Melrose Red Raiders (Melrose, MA) and the visiting Belmont Marauders (Belmont, MA), witnessed Melrose's softball squad tip Belmont by a count of 17-16.

With the loss, Belmont moves to 1-2 on the season. The Marauders travel to Westport (Westport, MA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Thursday, April 6. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 0-0.
