The Sparta Trojans softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Hollister Tigers to 1 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Sparta improves its record to 8-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Galena (Galena, MO) to clash with the Bears in a Southwest Central game on Monday, April 10. The Bears come into the game with a record of 2-5. Galena won 14-1 in their recent non-league game against Hurley (Hurley, MO)

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Clever Blue Jays (Clever, MO) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 7. Hollister will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Blue Jays come into the game with a 5-1 record after their 20-0 non-league win over Spokane (Spokane, MO).
