The Newark Norsemen softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Westmont Sentinels to 0 in the Norsemen non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Newark moves its record to 7-0 on the year. The Norsemen host Earlville (Earlville, IL) to play the Red Raiders in a Little Ten game on Thursday, April 6. The Red Raiders come into the game with a record of 0-1. Earlville lost 16-5 in their recent non-league game against Mendota (Mendota, IL)

In their next game, the Sentinels play the Plano Reapers (Plano, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 7. Westmont will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Reapers come into the game with a 3-5 record after their 11-1 league loss to Ottawa (Ottawa, IL).
