Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Patchogue-Medford Raiders (Medford, NY) and the visiting Sachem East (Farmingville, NY), witnessed Patchogue-Medford's softball squad tip Sachem East by a count of 5-4.

The Raiders now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Riverhead for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 11. Patchogue-Medford will meet a Blue Waves squad coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Miller Place (Miller Place, NY). The Blue Waves record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Sachem East moves to 1-2 on the season. The travel to East Islip (Islip Terrace, NY) to meet the Redmen in a non-league match on Monday, April 10. The Redmen go into the match with a record of 3-2. East Islip lost 8-3 in their recent non-league match against Smithtown East (Smithtown, NY)
