Sacred Heart Academy Sharks (Buffalo, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Virginia High Bearcats (Bristol, VA), 10-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Sharks now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hickman County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. Sacred Heart Academy will face a Falcons squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY). The Falcons record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Virginia High falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Tazewell (Tazewell, VA) to face the Bulldogs in a Southwest challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Tazewell won 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV)
