In Friday's non-league game, the visiting St. Mary's Ryken Knights baseball team scored a tight 10-9 victory over the Socastee Braves.
The Knights (9-3) will now prepare for their game against Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 12-1 record. In their last game, Martinsburg tipped Penfield (Penfield, NY), 2-1, in a non-league game.
The Braves (3-12) will now prepare for their game against Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Panthers go into the 5A Region 5 game with a 3-9 record. In their last game, Carolina Forest was edged by Goretti (Hagerstown, MD), 6-4, in a non-league game.
