In Friday's non-league battle, the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) lacrosse squad edged the visiting Penn Yan Academy Mustangs (Penn Yan, NY), by a count of 10-9.
Coming up next, the Pirates clash with the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) in a Mideastern battle, on Monday, April 8. Topsail will attempt to advance on its 10-0 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 3-6 record after their 17-7 league loss to Laney (Wilmington, NC).
The Mustangs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Ithaca for a non-league battle on Friday, April 12.
