In Friday's league test, the host Shoreham-Wading River Wildcats lacrosse squad scored a tight 7-6 victory over the Westhampton Beach Hurricanes.

The Wildcats now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Smithtown West for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 16.

In their next game, the Hurricanes clash with the West Babylon Eagles (West Babylon, NY) in a Section 11 II battle, on Tuesday, April 9. Westhampton Beach will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 3-1 record after their 16-4 league loss to Rocky Point (Rocky Point, NY).
