Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Heritage Huskies (Wake Forest, NC), 11-10 in a non-league test.

With the win, Pinecrest upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Patriots host Scotland (Laurinburg, NC) to battle the Fighting Scots in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 9. The Fighting Scots enter the battle with a record of 7-2. Scotland won 12-2 in their recent non-league battle against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC)

The Huskies now possess a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to J.H. Rose for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 6. Heritage will play a Rampants squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC). The Rampants record now stands at 7-2.
