El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bullard Knights (Fresno, CA), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Huntington Beach for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. El Segundo will battle a Oilers squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA). The Oilers record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Bullard falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Knights host Madera (Madera, CA) to battle the Coyotes in a County/Metro challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Coyotes enter the challenge with a record of 10-6. Madera won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Clovis (Clovis, CA)
