Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) and the host Byron Tigers (Byron, IL), witnessed Jefferson's softball squad prevail over Byron by a count of 11-2.

The J-Hawks now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Boylan Catholic for a Northern Illinois NIC-9 match on Monday, April 8. Jefferson will face a Titans squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Rochelle (Rochelle, IL). The Titans record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Byron moves to 0-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Dixon (Dixon, IL) to face the Dukes & Duchesses in a Big Northern match on Saturday, April 6. The Dukes & Duchesses go into the match with a record of 1-5.
