Calhoun Warriors (Hardin, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 10-0 record. They take the field next when they host West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] for a Western Illinois Valley - South challenge on Monday, April 8.

With the loss, Springfield falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Senators host Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL) to battle the Crimsons in a Central State Eight challenge on Monday, April 8. The Crimsons enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Jacksonville lost 14-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL)
