D.H. Conley Vikings (Greenville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host South Central for a Big East 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 9. D.H. Conley will face a Falcons squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Wake Forest falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Millbrook (Raleigh, NC) to face the Wildcats in a Northern Athletic 4A challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Millbrook lost 14-3 in their recent non-league challenge against East Wake (Wendell, NC)
