In Friday's non-league contest, the East Wake Warriors (Wendell, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Millbrook Wildcats (Raleigh, NC), by a margin of 14-3.
With the triumph, East Wake moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Warriors host Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC) to clash with the Spartans in a Quad County 3A game on Tuesday, April 9. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 1-7.
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC) in a Northern Athletic 4A game, on Tuesday, April 9. Millbrook will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 7-4 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC).
