The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Lake Hornets (Lake, MS) and the visiting Ethel Tigers (Ethel, MS), saw Lake's softball squad nip Ethel by a count of 12-7.

The Hornets now sport a 14-7 record. They take the field next when they host Enterprise for a non-league match on Saturday, April 6. Lake will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Clarkdale (Meridian, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Ethel falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS) to face the Rockets in a non-league match on Friday, April 5. The Rockets enter the match with a record of 19-3. Neshoba Central won 15-0 in their recent league match against Columbus (Columbus, MS)
