The Rison Wildcats routed the visiting Fordyce Redbugs softball squad by a count of 18-3 in Friday's league battle.

The Wildcats (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against McGehee (McGehee, AR). The Owls go into the 3A Region 8 battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, McGehee topped Crossett (Crossett, AR), 8-6, in a non-league battle.

The Redbugs now sport a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Junction City for a 2A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, April 9. Fordyce will meet a Dragons squad coming off a 12-3 non-league loss to Horatio (Horatio, AR). The Dragons record now stands at 7-8.
