Mississippi High School Softball - Oxford holds off Lafayette

The Oxford Chargers the host Lafayette Commodores softball squad by a final score of 9-7 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Chargers (9-12) will now prepare for their battle against Southaven (Southaven, MS). The Chargers go into the 7A Region 1 battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, Southaven held off Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS), 18-0, in a league battle.

The Commodores now possess a 16-9 record. They play next when they travel to West Point for a 5A Region 1 battle on Monday, April 8.
