Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Southside Mavericks (Fort Smith, AR), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Perryville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. Mansfield will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, AR). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Southside falls to 0-3 on the campaign.
