Rhode Island High School Baseball - Westerly nipped by Cranston East

Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), 1-0 in a league match.

With the triumph, Cranston East advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Thunderbolts host Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI) to battle the Hawks in a Division 1 match on Thursday, April 10. The Hawks come into the match with a record of 3-0.

The Bulldogs now have a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Barrington for a Division 1 match on Tuesday, April 8. Westerly will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 7-3 league win over Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI). The Eagles record now stands at 3-0.
