Illinois High School Baseball - Crystal Lake Central holds off Lake Forest

In Saturday's non-league game, the host Crystal Lake Central Tigers baseball team scored a close 5-1 win over the Lake Forest Scouts.
The Tigers (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Huntley (Huntley, IL). The Red Raiders go into the Fox Valley - Valley game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Huntley nudged Bartlett (Bartlett, IL), 11-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Scouts play the Warren Township Blue Devils (Gurnee, IL) in a North Suburban game, on Monday, April 7. Lake Forest will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Blue Devils go into the game with a 6-2 record after their 7-2 non-league win over Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL).
