In Saturday's non-league game, the host Limestone Rockets baseball team scored a close 9-3 win over the Freeport Pretzels.

The Rockets (7-3) will now prepare for their game against East Peoria (East Peoria, IL). The Raiders go into the Mid-Illini game with a 7-2 record. In their last game, East Peoria nudged Tremont (Tremont, IL), 4-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the Pretzels play the Saint Viator Lions (Arlington Heights, IL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 8. Freeport will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Lions go into the game with a 2-3 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL).
