In Saturday's non-league bout, the Hope Blue Wave (Providence, RI) baseball squad edged the host Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI), by a tally of 9-8.

Next up, the Blue Wave encounter the Tolman Tigers (Pawtucket, RI) in a Division 3 bout, on Tuesday, April 8. Hope will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 7-6 league win over Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI).
