Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Banning Pilots (Wilmington, CA) and the host Kennedy Cougars (Granada Hills, CA), observed Banning's volleyball team top Kennedy by a count of 2-0.

The Pilots (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Providence (Burbank, CA). The Pioneers enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Providence was knocked off by Chadwick (Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Cougars meet the Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA) in a contest, on Monday, April 7. Kennedy will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 12-6 record after their 2-0 league win over San Fernando (San Fernando, CA).
