Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Schuyler Warriors (Schuyler, NE) and the visiting Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), saw Schuyler's soccer squad hold off Grand Island by a count of 3-2.
The Warriors (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Crete (Crete, NE). The Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Crete tipped Norris (Firth, NE), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Islanders battle the Lincoln Northeast Rockets (Lincoln, NE) in a battle, on Monday, April 7. Grand Island will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Rockets enter the battle with a 3-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Lincoln North Star (Lincoln, NE).
