In Saturday's non-league match, the host Lena-Winslow Panthers softball team scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders.
The Panthers (6-4) will now prepare for their match against Dakota (Dakota, IL). The Indians go into the Northwest Upstate Illini - North match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Dakota tipped Amboy (Amboy, IL), 15-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Raiders battle the Pecatonica Indians (Pecatonica, IL) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 7. Ashton-Franklin Center will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Indians go into the match with a 2-5 record after their 10-6 non-league win over West Carroll (Savanna, IL).
