South Dakota High School Softball - Elk Point-Jefferson tipped by Avon

April 5, 2025: Avon, SD 57315

Avon Pirates (Avon, SD) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD), 5-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Avon improves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Pirates host Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy (Freeman, SD) to play the in a Class B game on Monday, April 7. The enter the game with a record of 0-1.

The Huskies now hold a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Gayville-Volin for a non-league game on Friday, April 11. Elk Point-Jefferson will play a Raiders squad coming off a 12-11 league win over Hanson (Alexandria, SD). The Raiders record now stands at 3-0.
